Biography: Associate Professor Kristy Martire

Associate Professor Kristy Martire is the Director of the Master of Forensic Psychology Program at the University of New South Wales, and the Deputy Director of the Evidence-Based Forensics Initiative. She is a former ARC DECRA fellow and a member the Australian Academy of Forensic Sciences. She has been researching expert evidence and its impact on decision-making since 2004. Her scholarship in this area has been cited by courts in Australia and internationally, as well as the (Obama) President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), the US National Institute of Justice (NIJ) and the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
